We love supporting local charities, so when we heard about an auction night to raise funds for Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice , we knew it was something we wanted to be involved in.
Manorlands Hospice, based in nearby Oxenhope, provides care for people living with life challenging illnesses in Airedale, Craven and North and West Bradford. It costs £2.9 million each year to provide care at, and from, the hospice and they need to raise a minimum of £1.6 million of that in donations and voluntary income. It is a charity very close to the hearts of many of our staff and customers.
We’ve donated a special Avoca goody bag with winter warmers and a lovely smelly soap perfect for a relaxing bath. Our donation, along with lots of other prizes up for grabs, will be auctioned off at Utley Rugby Club on Saturday 2 April 2016. Tickets are £10, which includes include pie and pea supper, raffle ticket, stand-up-sit-down bingo and a disco – so is promising to be a fantastic night!
We’ve also persuaded Yorkshire flat cap designer Rhian Kempadoo Millar (who is currently designing us an exclusive range of Bronte-themed hats which will be available soon!) to donate two of her gorgeous flat caps worth over £100 for the pair.
If you would like to be one of many local businesses involved, local woman Emma Ibbotson is still appealing for donations to help reach the target of £3,000 for this amazing charity.
Please email Emma on firstname.lastname@example.org to buy tickets and/or donate to the raffle or auction.
